Hello, I'm Haakon!
Passionate Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist & Movement Specialist
Haakon graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from King’s College London.
Before opening his own clinic, he gained experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including Homerton Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit at UCL Hospital. He also worked in more specialised environments, treating athletes at King’s Sports, Whitgift School and a private sports clinic in London.
Alongside his clinical work, Haakon began treating private clients in the Clapham and Brixton area. As his client base grew, this naturally led to the opening of his own home-based clinic, where he combines his clinical experience with a personalised approach to physiotherapy, rehabilitation and performance.
A BIT MORE ABOUT ME...
From an early age, I was drawn to a wide variety of sports - skiing, tennis, track and field, golf, rowing, calisthenics, MMA, handball and football. Alongside this, I’ve spent more than a decade dedicated to strength training, initially driven by aesthetics, as is the case for many.
This broad athletic background gave me a deep appreciation for physical fitness and, more importantly, a curiosity about how the human body works. I became fascinated by the “software” of human movement - how the body moves, adapts and performs, and how we can optimise that process to become stronger, more capable and more resilient.
Interestingly, physiotherapy wasn’t my first career path. After high school, I studied Business & Administration at the Norwegian School of Economics. During my studies, I met my wife in Hong Kong, and we eventually moved to London together. Although I didn’t realise it at the time, my background in business would later become an important part of building my own clinic.
My interest in the human body became much more personal as I experienced a number of significant injuries and struggled with chronic pain throughout much of my own athletic journey. Having seen chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and trainers myself, I often felt that something was missing.
I received plenty of treatment, but rarely a clear explanation of why I was experiencing pain or repeatedly getting injured. I found myself wanting to understand what was actually happening in my body - rather than simply managing the symptoms.
That experience ultimately led me to pursue physiotherapy as a profession. It wasn't simply a change in career; it was the pursuit of something I had wanted for years - to become the kind of physiotherapist I wish I had met as a young athlete.
Today, that experience shapes the way I work with every client. I want you to understand your body, understand what is contributing to your problem, and have a clear plan for what to do about it.
My goal with this practice is simple: to help you understand your body, move better and reach your full potential.
